Five Days Before Crossing
"Seeing From Within" A Quiet Place to Return to Yourself
There comes a moment before every crossing…
where life gently asks us to pause. My crossing was March 27, 2026
Not to strive.
Not to explain.
Not to carry more.
But to lay things down.
I didn’t fully understand it at first—
why I felt the need to step back,
to cancel plans,
to stay home instead of showing up.
But peace kept speaking louder than pressure.
And I listened.
A Sacred Pause
Five days before Passover, in the old tradition,
the lamb was set apart.
Not rushed.
Not hidden.
Just… set apart.
That’s what this felt like.
A quiet setting apart of my heart.
What I Noticed
There wasn’t chaos.
There wasn’t urgency.
There was clarity.
The kind that says:
“You don’t need to go to prove love.”
The kind that reminds you:
“Your presence is sacred—don’t place it where it isn’t received.”
And the kind that gently anchors:
“Your home is your first ministry.”
What I Chose
I chose peace.
I chose my home.
I chose alignment over obligation.
I chose to stop reaching where I was not being met.
Not out of hurt—
but out of clarity.
There is a difference.
What I’m Learning
I’m learning that:
Not every invitation is meant to be accepted
Not every silence needs to be filled
Not every relationship requires my constant presence
And maybe the biggest one…
I don’t have to leave my peace to keep connection.
A Quiet Prayer
Father,
Thank You for slowing me down enough to hear You.
Thank You for showing me what is mine to carry…
and what is not.
Let my home remain steady.
Let my heart remain soft but not overextended.
Let my steps be aligned, not pressured.
I will move when invited.
I will remain when at peace.
Amen.
For You, If You Need It Too
If you’re in a moment where something feels off…
where you’re questioning whether to go, stay, speak, or step back—
Pause.
Ask yourself:
“Am I moving from peace… or from pressure?”
There is wisdom in that answer.
My Anchor
My peace is not negotiable.
My home is protected.
I move when aligned.
With love,
Carlene 🌿
