The Weight I Thought Was Mine
"Seeing From Within" Learning I Don't Have To Carry This Anymore
There’s a kind of weight that doesn’t come with instructions.
You just pick it up.
Because it’s there.
Because it’s needed.
Because you care.
And for a long time, I didn’t question it.
I assumed:
If it’s in front of me, it must be mine.
But now I’m learning to pause.
To ask:
“Is this actually mine to carry?”
Not everything that shows up in our lives…
belongs to us.
Some things belong to:
other people’s journeys
other people’s responsibilities
other people’s growth
And love doesn’t mean
taking it all on.
Sometimes love looks like:
Standing steady.
Holding space.
But not carrying the weight.
That’s a different kind of strength.
And I’m learning it now.
With love,
Carlene 🌿
“And even now, the pattern still comes.
But I am no longer the same inside of it.”
“If this spoke to you, feel free to share or reflect quietly. I’m holding this space gently.”
